Deadly Blessing (1981)★★☆☆☆
Okay, I know I said last week that it’s hard to go wrong with Wes Craven, but this one kind of did.
Sure, I’m still in an incredibly down and dark mood, and maybe I need something epic to pull me out of it. That’s definitely not this. I found this movie slow and hard to get through. Add to that not very scary, and a bit outdated in many ways, and it adds up to a not-so-great viewing experience.
It was neat seeing a very young Sharon Stone, and a slightly younger-than-I-remember Ernest Borgnine, but you could look up stills from this movie for the same experience. I’d skip this one.
