Death of Me (2020)★★★☆☆

Poster

There’s a lot to like about this film, but it didn’t quite land for me.

I still like Maggie Q, and she was fine in this, but the pacing was way off. It starts out heavy and interesting, but trails off a bit in the middle, and once it picks back up, it’s kind of predictable and underwhelming.

I wouldn’t necessarily skip this one, especially if you like folk horror and cult traditions (spoiler?), but you might be disappointed if you go in expecting something interesting from start to finish.
