Disturbing Behavior (1998)★★★★★

Look, I’m really sorry that so many of my reviews for this year are pure nostalgia. This probably isn’t really a five-star movie, but I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I love everything about it.

Let’s start with the cast. Katharine Isabelle! Katie Holmes! Bruce Greenwood! William Sadler! (A tiny bit of) Ethan Embry! And Nick Stahl, in an actually good movie!

The dialogue is…well, it’s certainly something. I don’t know why “razor” was the chosen slang word, but I DO appreciate “toxic jock syndrome”.

It’s got tension and some decently creepy parts. It’s short. Much shorter than I remember, actually, so I’ll admit it does feel kind of rushed the whole way through, but it never feels slow.

I just…something about watching this movie takes me right back to being a teenager in the late 90s, but in the best possible way? I’d recommend this one pretty broadly.
