Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)★★☆☆☆
Happy Halloween! I hope you get all the candy you want tonight!
I wanted to like this movie more than I did. As I think I mentioned last week, I wanted to fit this into the proper “Throwback Thursday” schedule, and also this isn’t really a part of the Halloween franchise in the same way as the rest of the films.
It was meant to bring an anthology feel to the franchise, so it’s a completely separate story. And to be quite honest, the STORY isn’t bad! It’s not super original (though maybe it was more so when this was released), but it was interesting enough. The acting was mostly fine.
But the movie felt slow, and didn’t get truly scary aside from a few super creepy moments. Also, the Halloween song with the tune of “London Bridge is Falling Down” drove me up the wall. So I don’t really recommend this one. But again, happy Halloween!!
