Madman (1981)★★★☆☆
This is a fairly standard slasher film of the 1980s. The story isn’t very original (group of folks around a campfire discussing an urban legend no one believes in), the acting isn’t great, and the “madman” isn’t super terrifying.
But it has its moments, particularly one of the characters saying “…smells like death” and then (spoiler alert) immediately getting brutally murdered himself, which I found HILARIOUS for some reason.
It’s pretty short, it doesn’t drag on too much, but it’s also just not great. Probably good for a background watch or something.
