Mortuary (1983)★★★★☆

This was a weird little movie that I wasn’t sure about at first, but that won me over in the end. I think I might even recommend it quite broadly!

Sure, it lacks subtlety at times. There’s a whole hilarious scene where you hear a conversation from inside while staring at the outside of the house and that was what got to my funny bone initially.

But ultimately the story won me over (despite Christie’s constantly screaming “Daddy!” over and over again during her nightmares), a young Bill Paxton won me over, and the ending definitely won me over.

This movie is a whole lot of camp but also a whole lot of fun. You could do worse for yourself than watch this.
