Pet Sematary (1989)★★★☆☆

I have to apologize to all of you. It seems my word of the year is “fine”. It’s only March, and I’ve already called 11 movies “fine” this year! Well, let’s make it 12, because…you can probably guess where I’m going here.

Maybe it’s because I already knew the story, or because the pacing was off (slow middle, rushed ending), or because of the moment when (spoiler warning?) Gage looks like a blond Chucky, but I wasn’t super impressed by this.

I guess we’ll see how the remake does tomorrow?
