Satanic Panic (2019)★★★★☆

I really liked this one. I had a lot of fun with it. It’s ALMOST 5 stars, but I think I’m settling on rating it a very high 4 stars.

Honestly, THIS is a Grady Hendrix feature film I can get behind. I feel like it succeeded in all the ways My Best Friend’s Exorcism didn’t. Maybe that’s just because there wasn’t a novel being adapted and it was written for the screen? Even so, it worked.

I loved this mix of familiar and unfamiliar faces. I like Rebecca Romijn a lot, AND Arden Myrin, and I enjoyed their weird chemistry in this. The story was fun, the gore was fun, and the payoff was excellent. This was a fun horror comedy I’d recommend pretty broadly.
