Snow White: A Tale of Terror (1997)★★★☆☆

Oh, hello October! I guess we’re back to movies I remember liking more when they came out?

Actually, that’s not quite fair. I don’t really remember anything about how I felt about this movie when I first saw it, but I KNOW I saw it close to when it came out. I loved Sam Neill and Sigourney Weaver from a very young age, so I would’ve been drawn to this movie.

And it’s…fine. I think it’s more “Snow White” than “Tale of Terror,” if I’m honest. There are certainly some creepy moments and some creepy effects, but overall it’s just a slightly darker retelling of the story. Really, truly, “slightly”.

I wouldn’t say it’s totally skippable, but I also wouldn’t put this on if you’re looking for something truly scary.
