Spree (2020)★★★★☆

So I don’t know if you’ve watched Stranger Things, but if you have, you might recognize Joe Keery, who plays Steve. Well, Kurt Kunkle is not Steve. Not even a little.

And Joe Keery is great as Kurt. Delightfully unhinged and psychotic. That’s…basically how I would describe this movie, too.

It drags on a bit in parts, but it’s an entertaining watch. There’s a lot of blood and death, but not a whole lot of (visual) gore.

It’s also funny. There’s a lot of YouTube creator jokes in here, as well as stand-up comedy jokes?

And I like David Arquette and Kyle Mooney! And a lot of other familiar faces, too!

There’s some weird pacing that takes away from building real tension, but this is a fun watch overall.
