Stephanie (2017)★★★★☆

I feel like this movie is a surprising sleeper hit. Maybe it’s because it’s been a few months since I’ve watched anything with Frank Grillo, but I liked this one more than I anticipated.

It’s a bit of a slow burn, and you know it’s hard for me to get into those. But the slowness worked here. The tension starts building slowly at the beginning and picks itself up about halfway through.

Shree Crooks as Stephanie really makes the movie. She’s great, and I think Frank Grillo and Anna Torv rounding out the cast also do well.

There’s an interesting story here, and I like the way it’s revealed. I was impressed with this!
