Tales from the Hood (1995)★★★★☆

I had fun with this one! Despite, or perhaps because of, how awfully relevant each of these stories still feels today.

(Spoilers ahead) I found the frame story to be the weakest, which is definitely the correct one to be the weakest, if any. That said, I definitely appreciated Clarence Williams III’s performance as Mr. Simms.

Anyway, each of these four stories is tightly told, well cast, and varying degrees of scary and horrifying.

I may be showing my true nerd colors here, but I knew I was going to like this the minute I saw zombie Tuvix.
