The Lost Tree (2015)★★☆☆☆

Ugh, well, this movie was boring. Not terrible, but terribly boring. Which is a real shame! There was a lot that could have been great!

There’s some potentially supernatural stuff happening, a creepy cabin, and even Scott Grimes!

And yet…it just never quite lands anything. The acting isn’t great. Thomas Ian Nicholas is the only one I felt did a reasonably solid job.

The story never quite gets told. Not that horror stories are great when they go too deep into the technical details of what’s happening, but this one felt like there was just no explanation for ANYTHING.

Anyway, it’s not the worst movie ever, but it’s pretty skippable.
