The Nun II (2023)★★★☆☆

Okay, I did like this better than the first one. Not by much, but by enough to earn it an extra star.

This one was a bit longer than the first, but felt better paced. (Spoilers??) The scary nun was a bit scarier and a bit more prominent in this one. I cared a bit more about the characters than I did in the first one (I know, they were mostly the same characters, so pacing is clearly really important to me!).

Overall I don’t know if I’d really recommend either of these. They’re in the Conjuring universe but are standalone stories that to me don’t really add much to that universe. You can skip them and still enjoy the Conjuring franchise on its own. I think next week I’m watching the next entry in the franchise proper? Here’s hoping I’m in a better, more entertainable mood?
