The Perfection (2018)★★★★☆

This is a weird movie with a lot of weird happenings and I am mostly here for it.

I think I like Allison Williams, at least in scary movies. I never really watched Girls so Get Out was my first introduction to her (though I think she might have been in an episode of The League before?), and I thought she was great in that.

She’s great at being creepy and (spoiler alert) untrustworthy, or at least questionably trustworthy. I thought her chemistry with Logan Browning in this was impeccable, though in the movie they’re supposed to be five years apart and the actresses are only a year apart and that kind of shows.

This movie does some weird things and makes some weird choices, and I can see how they wouldn’t appeal to everyone, but I have now watched this movie three times and I’ve liked it every time, so I guess I’m in the “this appeals to me” camp for it.
