The Resort (2021)★★★☆☆

I liked this one more than I expected, but still not a lot. I’m sure it didn’t hurt that it was quite short and action-packed.

It definitely felt relatively low budget, with a bunch of completely unfamiliar faces, and I wouldn’t call the story “original”…but it was pretty watchable!

At its core, this is a ghost story. A haunted hotel ghost story, in fact. Well, a haunted, abandoned hotel even!

So the scenery was pretty, the story cohesive, and the ending weird and just a little absurd.

This is a pretty easy watch that I’d recommend to most general horror fans, as long as you don’t expect too much of it.
