Torn Hearts (2022)★★★★☆

I had a lot of fun with this one! I didn’t know much about it going in, which I think helped, as I didn’t really have any hopes or expectations. And it was a lot of fun!

There are several familiar faces. Katey Segal probably the most familiar and most famous, though this might be the first scary movie I’ve seen her in? The other familiar faces are no strangers to horror.

And the story was fun! I wouldn’t say terribly original, but it was well told and everyone delivered an excellent performance. And as someone who doesn’t really like country music, I thought the soundtrack was great.

Overall this is, yes, yet another horror-comedy…but I felt it leaned more into the horror than the comedy side, and it was entertaining throughout, so I’d recommend it pretty broadly.
