Wishcraft (2002)★★★★☆

This is not a four-star movie. Honestly, it’s probably not really a three-star movie. But it was SO FUNNY, I have to give it extra credit for that.

Sure, a lot of the “funny” was in just how dated the early aughts setup was. Or in the (I don’t really know if you could call this a spoiler, but…) RIDICULOUS AND HILARIOUS ending to this movie. No joke, the last 15 minutes or so of this movie alone probably earned it two extra stars.

But it was also reasonably well paced, had a…kind of…interesting story, and also a LOT of familiar faces. Like Alexandra Breckenridge, who is amazing – and whose character in this movie had basically the same hair I did in 2002. And Michael Weston, who’s been in at least one movie I’ve already written about.

…oh, and this movie ALSO has Meat Loaf and Zelda Rubinstein. Maybe it does deserve all four stars?
