A Christmas Horror Story (2015)★★★☆☆

I have to admit, I’m a bit disappointed by this movie. Okay, a lot disappointed.

This is a Christmas-themed horror anthology film starring William Shatner. You’d think it would be right up my alley.

Sadly, it missed its mark. The pacing was weird and the movie dragged on quite a bit. None of the characters were all that interesting. And there wasn’t a whole lot of scary stuff, either.

But it did have William Shatner! Who as radio DJ Dangerous Dan was definitely the best character in the film. He didn’t disappoint.

I did kind of like how the stories overlapped in multiple ways here, particularly the obvious overlap of cutting between the various stories rather than having each play out completely before showing the next.

It’s not bad, but there are definitely better Christmas horror movies out there.
