Censor (2021)★★★☆☆

This movie was fine. It could have been a lot better. It had an interesting context and setting, and on the surface an interesting story, but it didn’t really do anything new with either.

I liked the video effects, and I loved the actress playing Enid. Some of the cinematography and some of the characters (Doug, in particular) reminded me of Starry Eyes, which isn’t a bad thing, but this film didn’t have Ray Wise, which is generally a bad thing.

It’s a slow burn film without a super satisfying ending, but it’s creepy and it looks cool, and it’s not too long, so you could do worse than watching this one if you’re in the mood for something slow.
