Dead End (2003)★★★★★

I loved this movie. I mean, of course I loved this movie. It’s got Ray Wise and Lin Shaye and a strange, silly plot. What better present for Christmas Eve?

I’ll tell you what better present: a movie that’s paced well, has a great balance of comedy and horror, and has a great ending.

Seriously, this movie is a lot of fun. I have the feeling this would be a fun movie even for those out there who aren’t generally fans of horror.

It’s rated R, but it seems to me that’s more due to the language than any of the blood and gore. There’s some of that, but it’s mostly off-screen and hinted at rather than in your face.

Anyway, I love Ray Wise. I love Lin Shaye. I love this movie. And I love Christmas Eve.
