Talk to Me (2023)★★★★★

This was one of those movies that was WAY hyped up when it came out. Critics loved it, people loved it, there was immediate sequel talk, etc etc etc…

And having finally watched it, I think it’s worth all the hype. This was a great movie!

I’ll try not to spoil things, because I think this is absolutely worth a watch if you like scary movies and you haven’t seen it yet.

It’s short and tight, there’s action and intrigue from the beginning, and there’s a good amount of character building and impressive storytelling here.

Perhaps most impressive is everyone’s performance. Truly everyone was fantastic, but no one more so than Joe Bird as Riley.

And there are some genuinely scary moments in this film. It somehow manages to make you feel on edge and awaiting the next jump scare without really any jump scares at all?
