The Other Side of the Door (2016)★★★★☆

I don’t have too much to say about this one, but I did like it. I mean, it is about family and love and loss, after all.

And it has a pretty decent cast! I like Jeremy Sisto and Sarah Wayne Callies, and they were both well cast in this one.

It’s an interesting story with a mythology that seems reasonably well researched. It’s a bit slow at times but it does pick up towards the end.

I didn’t really think the final scene added much to the film, but it didn’t hurt either and the payoff at the end was otherwise pretty good.

Overall this is a well made, decently creepy film about what happens when you try to wake the dead.
