Scary Stories (from a Dark Allie)

This movie was pretty okay. It felt really slow for the first half hour or so and never quite figured out the right pace to keep the audience engaged.

Which is sad, because the cast is a decent one. I’ve always liked Odette Annable (credited as Odette Yustman in this movie) and Cam Gigandet, and it was pretty neat seeing Idris Elba and Gary Oldman as well.

Or maybe I just have a soft spot for movies set in Chicago, which is particularly fitting today since I’m in Chicago. Anyway, if you can get past the slow beginning this is a decently interesting movie to watch.
